Meet the Teachers of All Aboard Family Music

All teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together® Teacher Training, which is built on research in early childhood and music development. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.

Becca’s earliest musical memory is of her grandmother playing piano while she and her sister sang along—a moment that sparked a lifelong love of music. She began piano lessons at age six and continued for a decade, staying deeply involved in choir, theater, band, and even color guard throughout her school years. Music has remained a constant in her life and a powerful tool in her teaching career.

With a degree in Early Childhood Education, Becca has spent her life working with children in daycare, schools, and as a professional nanny. In every setting, she’s used music not only to support learning and development but also to bring joy and connection. What began as a personal passion quickly revealed itself as a transformative way to engage children anytime, anywhere.

Becca began teaching Music Together® in 2007 at Heartsong Music in Austin, TX. After relocating to Colorado Springs in June 2021, she was thrilled to bring the program to local families. She’s a proud mom to three amazing children, Elliott, Lila, and Zane, plus two dogs and four cats. Watching her own children grow up immersed in Music Together has deepened her belief in the power of the program to enrich family life.

Becca has completed her Certification Level I Music Together training and looks forward to sharing the joy of music with the Colorado Springs community.

photo Michaela Segelstein

Michaela grew up in a home filled with music. Her father sang in the church choir and played their upright piano—often “Heart and Soul”—as he passed through the front room. He even produced and directed his own shows, which the family loved attending. Her mother, though modest about her singing voice, hummed joyfully throughout the day, weaving tunes together in a way that made music feel like a natural part of life. That musical upbringing gave Michaela the freedom to sing whenever she wanted, a gift she now shares with the families she teaches.

She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently pursuing a degree in Human Services. Her professional experience includes working as a preschool teacher and as a professional nanny. After welcoming her son Oliver in January 2022, she stepped away from the classroom but never lost her passion for working with young children. Throughout her school years, Michaela sang in choirs, participated in theater, and even performed in a Trans-Siberian Orchestra cover band with her church, a favorite memory from high school.

As an adult, Michaela found it challenging to stay connected to music until she discovered All Aboard Family Music. It was the perfect way to reengage with singing and introduce Oliver, and now Quinn, to the joy of music. Jonah, her husband, shares her enthusiasm and loves bringing the boys to class. Their home is bustling with three dogs, four cats, and a whole lot of love.

Michaela is thrilled to join the All Aboard teaching team, where she can blend her musical background with her deep love for early childhood education. She looks forward to singing, dancing, and making joyful memories with families, one song at a time.
